I'm Camila, and I'm so glad you're here!
My path into breath-led mind–body practice began in 2009 in Encinitas, California, where I started working with meditation and mindful movement as a way to feel more present and grounded. In 2010, while still working in the corporate world, I completed my 200-hour teacher training at Anahata Yoga.
For years in corporate environments, I often lacked the emotional tools to navigate ongoing pressure and stress. After experiencing a period of extreme anxiety that led to panic attacks, I committed to a deeper study of presence and self-regulation. Over time, I experienced firsthand how these practices can support nervous system regulation, emotional awareness, and resilience—not as abstract concepts, but as real skills you can build and return to in daily life.
That personal transformation is what led me to begin sharing these practices with others. For the past 15 years, my work has taken me across diverse communities—from Encinitas to Rio de Janeiro, Buenos Aires, Chicago, and now the South of Atlanta—supporting people of all ages with practical tools for stress management, attention, and emotional balance. My approach integrates breathwork, meditation, and yoga-based mindful movement in a grounded, accessible way, always adapted to meet each person where they are.
I’ve taught in studios, schools, corporations, and both public and private settings, fostering environments where participants feel safe, supported, and empowered. Most recently, I taught at a public Montessori school in Chicago, introducing children to breath awareness, mindful movement, and emotional regulation practices designed to support attention, confidence, and social-emotional learning. I’ve also taught at a nonprofit organization in Chicago, offering accessible, trauma-informed programs for underserved communities.
In 2024, I completed the Mindfulness Mentor Training Program with Banyan, further expanding my ability to guide individuals using evidence-informed mindfulness practices that support emotional balance, compassionate presence, and overall well-being.
As a mother of two young children, I understand how challenging it can be to slow down and reconnect amid daily demands. Through Even Minded, my intention is to offer a supportive, inclusive practice where steadiness is learnable—helping you pause, breathe, and return to a sense of grounding and ease that carries into real life. Sessions are available in-person, online, and on-site—wherever you are.
