I'm Camila, and I'm so glad you're here!

My journey with mindfulness and yoga began in 2009 in Encinitas, California, where I started practicing meditation and yoga. In 2010, I completed my 200-hour teacher training at Anahata Yoga while still working in the corporate field.

During my years in corporate environments, I often lacked the emotional tools to navigate ongoing pressure and stress. After experiencing a period of extreme anxiety that led to panic attacks, I immersed myself in the deeper study and practice of presence through mindfulness and yoga. Through this process, I witnessed firsthand the profound and lasting impact these practices had on my own life—particularly in supporting nervous system regulation, emotional awareness, and resilience.

This personal transformation inspired me to begin sharing these teachings with others. For the past 15 years, my path has led me to guide practices across diverse communities—from Encinitas to Rio de Janeiro, Buenos Aires, Chicago, and now the south of Atlanta—creating warm, inclusive spaces where people of all ages can cultivate emotional well-being, self-regulation, and mindful awareness. My teaching approach integrates breathwork, mindful movement, and meditation as practical tools that support focus, stress management, and embodied presence.

I have taught in studios, schools, corporations, and both public and private settings, always fostering environments where participants feel safe, supported, and empowered. Most recently, I taught at a public Montessori school in Chicago, where I introduced children to mindful movement, breath awareness, and emotional regulation practices designed to support attention, confidence, and social-emotional learning. I have also taught mindfulness and yoga at a nonprofit organization in Chicago, supporting underserved communities through accessible, trauma-informed programs.

In 2024, I completed the Mindfulness Mentor Training Program with Banyan, further expanding my ability to guide individuals using evidence-informed mindfulness practices that support emotional balance, compassionate presence, and overall well-being.

As a mother of two young children, I understand how challenging it can be to slow down and reconnect amidst daily demands. Through Even Minded, my intention is to offer a gentle, inclusive space where mindfulness is taught as a learnable skill—helping people pause, breathe, and return to a sense of grounding and ease that supports daily life.
